Moondance Art & Design
My life-long love affair with the arts has led me to explore many art practices including printmaking, painting, stained-glass, and photography.
In 2010, I began making jewelry after trying to duplicate a lost earring. Working primarily in sterling silver, I employ traditional metal-smithing techniques to create modern, organic pieces sometimes embellished with natural gemstones. Each piece of jewelry is crafted as a little work of art that’s meant to be worn every day.
My artwork has progressed from a romantic realism to more abstracted images based on landscape and memory. I’m currently working on canvas in acrylic and mixed media.
I am a West Virginia native and graduate of the College of Creative Arts at WVU. I am a founding member of of Artists At Work, and my work can also be found in several shops in WV. Promoting local arts as a part of West Virginia’s creative community is important to me.
